As an Administrative Assistant in the District Attorney’s Office, you’ll play a critical role in keeping legal operations running smoothly. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven position where your organization, discretion, and communication skills truly matter.
In this role, you will:
- Be the first point of contact, assisting the public, attorneys, and law enforcement
- Prepare and manage legal documents and discovery materials with accuracy
- Track case information and maintain organized, up-to-date records
- Draft subpoenas, legal correspondence, and court-related documents
- Coordinate with law enforcement on document service and case needs
- Support attorneys with case preparation and administrative tasks
- Process billing and maintain financial tracking for discovery services
- Ensure all work is handled with strict confidentiality and professionalism
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to learn legal software and systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Helpful (but not required):
- Experience in a legal, court, or government setting
- Familiarity with legal terminology or billing processes
- Collaborative team setting within the District Attorney’s Office
