Job Description:
Shearer Supply is actively seeking a skilled Senior IT Help Desk Specialist to join our IT team at our Farmers Branch, TX headquarters. This role will support and provide assistance through problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Senior Help Desk Specialist will support and provide problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
- Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
- As a Senior Help Desk Specialist, you will observe, analyze, and report data; And when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of help desk / call center experience
- 2-3 years of experience working with "help desk ticketing tools"
- Experience working remotely yet as a team member
- Ability to troubleshoot common Windows related issues
- Working knowledge of Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Domain hierarchy
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud Services and related applications
- Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Troubleshooting VPN Clients – Citrix NetScaler, Cisco VPN
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot custom applications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing desk-related tasks.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phones
- Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents clearly
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity during long periods of work.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment
