Job Description Summary
The Workforce Education Navigator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to learners of all ages applying to undergraduate and graduate programs at Shawnee State University from both formal and informal institutional partners outside the traditional K-12 high school vertical, including specifically Career and Technical Centers (CTCs, JVCs, etc.), Health Care Facilities (Adena, SOMC, HealthSource Ohio), Recovery Facilities (The Counseling Center, HopeSource, etc), and other employers in the SSU primary service region.
The main goal of the Workforce Education Navigator is to facilitate services related to Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, the Registrar, and Student Accounts specifically for working adults and career technical students, while also providing general information about Shawnee State University.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enrollment
- Handles and processes all in-person visitors, phone calls, and emails to Shawnee State University, triaging questions, processing documents, and resolving concerns.
- Schedules appointments for students with appropriate staff.
- Accepts and verifies forms from all functional areas
- Assists potential students from initial inquiry through graduation
- Monitors various shared email inboxes; takes appropriate action and assists with electronic communications.
- Offers guidance on all financial needs, including but not limited to, financial aid, payments, and bills.
- Processes registration activities
- Removes holds when appropriate and confirmed
- Provides advising assistance for defined programs and course offerings
- Advises new Adena location students with their upcoming courses
- Maintains a close working relationship with all internal and external offices.
- Participates in internal committees, working groups, and events as needed
Minimum Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- General Computer Skills
- Software Applications Knowledge
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from any regionally accredited university/college
- One year of work experience
Experience with Slate and Jenzabar
Salary : $43,400 - $48,825
