Hill View is looking for someone with an analytic mind to fill the workforce management role in a skilled nursing facility and assisited living setting. Our ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards. This is a critical position within our facility and the most important part of this job is to prioritize, and problem-solve scheduling and daily staffing for each unit to provide adequate staffing coverage.Duties may include, but not limited to:Assist with preparing nursing department work schedules for each calendar month and find call-in replacements to meet corporate, state, and federal staffing guidelines. Take necessary steps to ensure that sufficient members of nursing staff are always on duty. Follow established HPPD budget and process to align hours with the budget. Prepare direct care nursing master schedule, to meet facility needs, based on status of employees, for DON review and approval. Follow center policies and procedure for use of agency and in-house pool. Complete a listing of vacant nursing positions for facility administration/HR, as needed. Ensure attendance and paid time off (PTO) policies are followed, maintain accurate records of PTO usage. Perform all other general and/or specific administrative staffing duties required. Answer phones assist visitors and residents and relay communications. Perform clerical tasks to include processing administrative tasks, as required. Maintain a safe and orderly work area. Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance workflow, and/or improve the work environment. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Other special projects and duties, as assigned Requirements:A minimum of a BS or BA in Business Administration, Human Resources, or any scheduling related field-(preferred). In lieu of education/degree, relevant experience will be considered. 2-3 years’ experience with scheduling in a 24/7 healthcare facility (preferred), 2-3 years of scheduling in a busy environment. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet navigation. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions. Ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures. Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change. Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
