Job Description Summary
Shawnee State University seeks a highly motivated and student-focused Graduate and Online Admissions Associate to join our Enrollment Management team. This full-time role is dedicated to recruiting and enrolling online and graduate students, guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through matriculation. The Graduate and Online Admissions Associate will manage a program-specific recruitment portfolio, delivering personalized and strategic outreach aligned with each academic program’s enrollment goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Generate New Student Applications to Meet Established Funnel and Enrollment Goals
Plan, develop, and implement recruitment programs, ensuring timely and effective communication with prospective students for SSU’s graduate and online student population
Serve as the primary admissions contact for a portfolio of online and graduate programs.
Guide students through the full admissions funnel: inquiry, application, admission, and enrollment.
Track engagement, conversion rates, and funnel metrics; adjust strategies to improve yield.
Meet with and attend events at companies, colleges, organizations, as well as other entities, as specified by the Assistant Director of Admissions
Onboarding Coordination
Assist admitted students with pre-class preparations, including financial aid, assessments, registration, and campus resources.
Maintain regular contact with admitted and newly registered students to support retention.
Coordinate with financial aid, student success, and advising teams to support a smooth onboarding experience.
Marketing & Communications Strategy
Develop and execute customized marketing and communication strategies for each assigned online program to generate inquiries and boost applicant engagement.
Create and maintain communication plans for prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, including program-specific drip campaigns and personalized outreach sequences.
Maintain Area of Specialty
Stay current on graduate and online education trends and competitor offerings to help position SSU programs effectively.
Plan and conduct virtual information sessions, webinars, and one-on-one appointments for prospective online students.
