What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Associate position at Skeens Pet Boarding and Spa?
If you are a modivated self starter, love pets, and enjoy a busy atmosphere, look no further! As a store associate you can expect to answer phone calls, book grooming and daycare reservations. Communicate well with clients on updates about pets, and explain the services we offer. Understand and know computer skills as well as dog breeds and temperments to help adiquatly do bookings for clients. Intake grooming clients for our groomers and know how to adequately communicate grooming services. You will be hands on with pets taking them to designated holding areas in the facility. Call for pickup once services are finished and Check out clients at pickup and any store merchandise. Keep a clean workspace such as extra cleaning around the facility, sweeping parking lots, taking trash out, picking up after potty accidents in the store, pricing and stocking merchandise, and doing orders for the facility, multitasking to stay on track with our booked time scheduled. helping in the back rooms as well when not busy (cleaning, bathing,grooming etc) An added bonus to your pay will be tips! Clients will leave tips periodically and they go directly to our staff members! What You'll Do:
- Answer phone calls and handle reservations for grooming and daycare services
- Communicate effectively with clients about pet updates and explain our service offerings
- Utilize social skills and a calm persona when we get busy
- Know dog breeds and temperaments to assist with accurate reservations
- Intake grooming appointments and coordinate with groomers clearly
- Safely handle and care for pets
- Call clients for pickup once services are complete
- Check customers in and out with our registers
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace—sweeping, trash removal, cleaning up potty accidents, and restocking supplies
- Assist with inventory management
- Multitask efficiently to stay on schedule with appointments
- Support back-of-house tasks when needed, such as cleaning, bathing, and grooming
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.10 - $14.50 per hour
