This position is with Shawnee Health and will service Shawnee Health in Marion, Illinois (Williamson County)
We are looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about providing high-quality, comprehensive care to all individuals. Our team values respect and compassion, and we aim to create a supportive and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive preventive care and education for patients of all ages
- Diagnosing and managing a wide range of medical conditions including chronic disease and illnesses
- Providing women’s health services and family planning
- Prescribing and managing patient medications
- Ordering tests and initiating internal and external referrals
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records and contribute to organizational metrics and quality measures
- Collaborate with a team of health professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Highly interested in providing family oriented primary care to patients from infant to older age
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literacy/maintaining accurate and up-to-date electronic health records
- Support the mission and values of Shawnee Health
Education & Training
- A Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree or Physician Assistant Master’s Degree
- Board Certification in appropriate field
- Current State of Illinois, controlled substance, and Federal DEA licensure
Experience:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in Family Medicine with the above certification.
