Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Student-Centered Data Use
- Analyze FAST screener and CAPT diagnostic data to identify students in need of intervention
- Use multiple data sources to determine root causes of reading challenges
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and growth
- Plan and deliver evidence-based reading interventions for individuals and small groups
- Align intervention instruction with core classroom learning and grade-level expectations
- Differentiate instruction and adjust strategies based on student response
- Conduct regular progress monitoring using district-approved tools
- Use data to evaluate effectiveness of interventions and make timely instructional adjustments
- Communicate student progress with staff, administrators, and families as appropriate
- Develop and manage a flexible intervention schedule that maximizes student access and minimizes disruption to core instruction
- Coordinate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective service delivery
- Independently manage time, priorities, and caseload with strong organization and initiative
- Partner with classroom teachers to align instruction and support student success
- Participate in team meetings, data discussions, and professional learning communities
- Contribute to a collaborative, equity-focused school culture centered on literacy growth
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid teaching license in accordance with state and district requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in reading instruction
- Experience analyzing assessment data to inform instruction
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Experience working with middle school students
- Training in the Science of Reading and/or reading intervention experience
- Familiarity with FAST and CAPT assessments
