Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute (LTS) Special Education (SpEd) Teacher in Center-based DCD to join the amazing staff at West Middle School from approximately April 23, 2026 through June 5, 2026.
Job Summary:
Deliver direct and indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting and\or co-taught classroom, monitor progress on IEP goals and objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families and staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans, direct the work of paraprofessionals(s).
Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.
