The Customer Service Representative is the primary point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring accurate order intake, clear communication, and smooth dispatch/yard coordination. This role supports operational throughput by maintaining documentation accuracy, resolving issues quickly, and protecting the customer experience in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage inbound customer requests: product availability, pricing (per policy), order entry, and scheduling.
- Coordinate with yard/dispatch to align deliveries, pickups, and service timing.
- Maintain accurate records (tickets, orders, payments/terms as applicable) and ensure documentation completeness.
- De-escalate issues professionally; identify root cause and route to appropriate leader when needed.
- Support continuous improvement by tracking recurring issues and proposing process fixes.
- Ensure policy and compliance adherence (safety signage/customer flow, documentation requirements).
- 1 year customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail; comfort with data entry and transactional accuracy.
- Clear, professional communication; ability to manage conflict calmly.
- Reliable attendance and comfort working in an operations setting.
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, yard operations, or construction/materials environments.
- Basic equipment operator experience preferred (e.g., loaders or similar yard equipment).
- Bilingual capability (English/Spanish).
- Current Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m as needed. The schedule may shift seasonally.
