Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate Scientist to join a cutting-edge Physical Biochemistry team supporting innovative therapeutic programs across Immunology, Rare Disease, and Neuroscience. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on laboratory experience in protein sciences, crystallization workflows, biophysical assays, and laboratory operations within academic or industry research environments.
The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and contribute to operational excellence supporting therapeutic discovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily operations within the Physical Biochemistry laboratory environment.
- Execute and manage protein reagent organization, storage, tracking, and distribution workflows.
- Perform protein crystallization workflows and/or routine biophysical characterization assays.
- Maintain accurate experimental documentation, sample inventories, and data reporting systems.
- Coordinate crystal storage, shipment, and sample logistics activities.
- Ensure laboratory readiness through:
- equipment maintenance
- inventory monitoring
- reagent tracking
- ordering laboratory supplies
- Contribute to laboratory organization, compliance, and safety best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists across therapeutic modality teams.
- Independently manage multiple assignments while effectively communicating project updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Biophysics or related scientific discipline.
- 1–3 years of laboratory experience in academic research, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Protein crystallization, Biophysical, assays, Protein handling and storage, Sample management workflows, Laboratory operations support.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic research environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in pharmaceutical or biotech R&D environments.
- Familiarity with: protein characterization techniques, laboratory inventory systems, ELN/LIMS platforms, reagent/sample tracking systems.
- Exposure to structural biology or therapeutic discovery programs.
Salary : $40 - $43
