Senior Accountant (Inventory Cost Accounting)

Position Overview

SGF Global is seeking a Senior Accountant with strong Inventory Cost Accounting experience to support a major ERP integration initiative. This role will play a critical part in integrating financial data into an Oracle ERP environment while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of accounting records and financial reporting.

In addition to supporting the ERP implementation, the Senior Accountant will perform Record-to-Report (R2R) accounting activities, maintain financial master data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful system transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial master data cleansing, validation, and mapping activities for Oracle ERP implementation.
• Manage General Ledger account, cost center, customer, and financial data mapping.
• Support the successful integration of accounting processes into the Oracle ERP environment.
• Perform Record-to-Report (R2R) accounting activities.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with IFRS and corporate accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Maintain financial data integrity and ensure reporting accuracy throughout the integration process.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Commercial, and IT teams to support system implementation and process improvements.
• Develop reporting tools and reconciliations to ensure successful ERP go-live.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar accounting role.
• Strong Inventory Cost Accounting experience (required).
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or financial system integrations.
• Knowledge of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger, cost centers, and financial master data management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle ERP experience.
• Experience supporting financial transformation or ERP migration projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consumer products industries.
• Experience with financial reporting automation and process improvement initiatives.
