Key Responsibilities of the Cath Lab Technologist:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile field and equipment in the cath lab
- Monitor patient vitals and cardiac rhythms during procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and assist with contrast administration
- Ensure patient safety and comfort before, during, and after procedures
- Respond to emergency situations in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient care
Requirements:
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in Wisconsin
- ARRT certification required; RCIS certification preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1–2 years of cath lab or interventional radiology experience preferred
- Strong technical, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity environment
