Our Client is a leading supplier of packaging machinery, vacuum packaging systems and packaging materials and is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Regional Sales Manager to develop business across an assigned territory.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a time of significant development within its sales organisation.
The company is evolving its regional sales model to combine capital equipment and recurring consumables sales, creating an opportunity for the successful candidate to build long-term customer relationships while developing both recurring revenue and larger equipment projects.
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, driven and willing to get out into the market and develop relationships.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will take ownership of customer development and revenue growth across your territory.
Your focus will be twofold:
- Develop and grow recurring packaging materials and consumables revenue.
- Identify and develop opportunities for capital packaging equipment with existing and prospective customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the assigned territory.
- Grow sales of packaging materials, including roll stock, thermoforming film and other vacuum packaging materials.
- Identify opportunities to introduce capital packaging equipment to existing customers.
- Prospect for new customers and develop new business opportunities.
- Manage the complete sales process from initial contact through to commercial close.
- Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate packaging solutions.
- Generate recurring revenue through effective account development and customer retention.
- Work closely with internal teams to support quotations, equipment proposals and customer requirements.
- Develop a structured territory plan and prioritise opportunities based on commercial potential.
- Maintain regular face-to-face contact with customers and prospects across the territory.
- Monitor market activity, competitors and emerging customer requirements.
- Represent the business professionally at industry events and trade shows.
- Balance consumables-focused activity with longer-term capital equipment opportunities.
