What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Seven Executive Limited?
Maintenance Supervisor - Hands On Electrical & Industrial Maintenance
Location: Delaware
Industry: Packaging Materials
Salary: Circa $115,000 starting salary, dependent on experience
Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who would rather fix a problem than sit in a meeting talking about it?
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation in Delaware and take ownership of a critical maintenance function.
This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk.
We’re looking for a practical, technically strong leader who is just as comfortable troubleshooting equipment on the plant floor as they are managing a team, planning maintenance activity and driving improvements.
If you’re the person people turn to when equipment goes down - and your instinct is to diagnose the problem, find the solution and get things running again, this could be an excellent opportunity.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead a small maintenance team while remaining firmly hands-on yourself. You’ll be expected to:
- Respond personally to equipment breakdowns and complex maintenance issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and industrial equipment.
- Work alongside technicians and get involved in repairs when needed.
- Lead, coach and develop a small maintenance team.
- Take ownership of maintenance priorities and make decisions without needing constant direction.
- Identify recurring problems and implement practical solutions.
- Improve maintenance processes, reliability and equipment performance.
- Balance hands-on troubleshooting with the administrative responsibilities of supervision.
- Bring structure, organization and accountability to the maintenance function.
- Work closely with site leadership to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
The person we’re looking for
You’ll ideally be someone who has strong hands-on industrial maintenance and electrical troubleshooting experience, combined with proven supervisory ability.
You’ll need:
- 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience.
- Experience supervising a small team, ideally around 5-10 people.
- Strong industrial maintenance and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- An active Journeyman electrical license/certification. This can be from another state provided you are eligible and willing to obtain/transfer the required Delaware credential.
- A strong understanding of industrial machinery, maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problems.
Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
