Quality Manager – Healthcare Packaging

The Opportunity
Our client, a leading Healthcare Packaging business is looking for a hands-on, driven Quality Manager to lead and elevate their quality function. This is not a desk-based role, you’ll be on the shop floor, actively engaging with teams, driving standards, and pushing continuous improvement.
You’ll take ownership of quality systems, lead audits, and help move the business from a reactive to a proactive, strategic quality culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Take ownership of ISO certifications, including:
- ISO 9001
- ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 (HSE-related)
- Drive and lead ISO audits and recertification processes
- Act as the primary contact for external audits
- Be a visible presence on the shop floor, supporting and challenging teams in real time
- Move the quality function from tactical/reactive → strategic/proactive
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations
- Manage and develop a team with strong personalities, ensuring alignment and performance
- Hold teams accountable to deadlines, standards, and corrective actions
What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager (or senior quality leadership) role
- Strong background in ISO standards, audits, and recertification
- Experience in regulated environments (packaging, pharma, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to be hands-on and floor-focused
- Track record of driving change and improving quality systems
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage challenging or diverse personalities
- Ability to push initiatives forward, not just maintain the status quo
