About the Role
Help customers solve complex environmental needs — from field services and emergency response to disposal and transportation. Build trust, scope work accurately, and coordinate seamless delivery with operations.
What You’ll Do
- Grow and maintain revenue within an assigned account portfolio
- Diagnose needs; propose tailored solutions across:
- Field services & industrial cleaning
- Emergency response
- Waste disposal & transportation
- Build job scopes and detailed estimates; set clear expectations
- Coordinate clean handoffs to Operations; ensure on-time, safe execution
- Follow up after service; confirm satisfaction and expand the relationship
- Keep CRM, account activity, and invoicing details current
- Prospect via site visits, calls, and events; attend trade shows/networking
- Track emerging methods/tech to improve competitiveness; share insights
- Maintain accurate pipeline/forecasting; produce clear proposals in Microsoft Office
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (science or related field preferred) OR 4 years in sales/customer-facing roles
- 5 years of new business development or project management (environmental field services preferred)
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Outlook/Teams/PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of: hazardous waste, chemical management, labs, disposal, chemical manufacturing, and support services
- Customer-obsessed; prioritizes satisfaction and long-term partnerships
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Strong interpersonal skills, drive to succeed, and ability to work autonomously
- Environmental services or local environmental sales experience preferred
- Working knowledge of environmental/waste regulations a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication; concise proposal writing
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills in field and customer settings
Working Conditions
- Office field; regular travel to customer sites
- Physical: sit, speak, hear, handle objects; occasional stand/walk/kneel/crouch; lift/move up to 10 lbs.; vision: near/far, color, peripheral, depth, focus
