Responsibilities
- Actively engage with customers in retail stores or on route to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and personalized service.
- Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage automobile transportation logistics, including safe loading, unloading, and delivery of goods according to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Conduct route driving efficiently while adhering to safety standards, traffic laws, and organizational policies.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring product availability.
- Utilize basic math skills for pricing, inventory management, and sales transactions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of heavy lifting and safe lifting practices when handling merchandise or equipment.
- Build rapport with clients through excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience that encourages repeat business.
- Follow organizational procedures for documentation, route planning, and compliance with DOT regulations.
Experience
- Prior retail store experience is preferred but not required; a strong background in customer service is highly valued.
- Experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is a plus, especially familiarity with route driving and commercial truck driving standards.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, upselling techniques, and merchandising best practices is advantageous.
- Experience working within the military or with military personnel can be beneficial due to the discipline and organizational skills involved.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members across various channels is essential.
- Basic math proficiency is necessary for handling transactions, pricing adjustments, and inventory calculations.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations ensures safe driving practices and compliance during deliveries or route operations.
