About the Role

SET Environmental / WCEC is looking for a Project Supervisor to lead field service crews across a variety of critical environmental projects. From confined space entries to hazardous material cleanups and waterway responses, you will be the primary lead ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the client's satisfaction.

This is a full-time leadership role that requires extensive travel and a strong commitment to emergency response (ER) readiness.

What You’ll Do

• Crew Leadership: Direct one or more crews on both scheduled and emergency response-based projects, ensuring high-quality execution.
• Safety Management: Protect the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards in line with SET policies.
• Project Oversight: Manage diverse environmental scopes, including Confined Space Entry (CSE), remediation, waterway response, and hazardous materials cleanup.
• Resource Coordination: Oversee the equipment and supplies needed for project success, ensuring the team is fully prepared for every assignment.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients through professional on-site conduct and reliable project delivery.
• Operational Flexibility: Respond to out-of-town projects and participate in the emergency response (ER) on-call rotation, including weekends.
• Reporting & Compliance: Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals to ensure compliant site operations.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years (required) of verifiable industry experience.
• Certifications: 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and OSHA 30 (or the ability to obtain).
• Technical Training: Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training (or the ability to obtain).

Skills

• Chemical Knowledge: Basic understanding of chemical properties and hazardous materials.
• Leadership & Reasoning: Ability to lead teams through complex situations using common-sense judgment and instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Digital Literacy: Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills for reporting and client interaction.

Requirements

• Availability: Must be able to travel extensively and participate in the after-hours emergency response rotation.
• Physical Demands: This role involves considerable physical activity (70% ). Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Health & Safety: Must pass a DOT physical including drug and alcohol screening; must be able to wear required PPE and work in extreme temperatures or loud environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
