Our Restoration Technicians help homeowners and businesses recover after water damage, fires, storms, mold, biohazards, and other property emergencies.

No restoration experience is required.

Many people who join our team come from manufacturing, warehouses, construction, landscaping, restaurants, retail, and other hands-on or service jobs. We train you from the ground up and pay for the certifications you need to build a career in the restoration industry.

You learn a real trade.
You’ll learn water extraction, structural drying, demolition, fire and smoke cleaning, odor control, mold remediation, biohazard cleaning, crime scene cleaning, equipment operation, and other restoration skills.

You solve real problems.
Every building and every project is different. Restoration requires you to think, troubleshoot, work with your team, and figure out how to get the job done correctly.

No two days are the same.
You’ll work at different homes and businesses throughout Western New York instead of standing at the same workstation every day.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to water, fire, mold, odor, biohazard, and other restoration projects
• Remove damaged materials and contents
• Set up and monitor professional drying and restoration equipment
• Clean and restore structures and contents
• Follow SERVPRO procedures and industry standards
• Communicate with your Crew Leader and teammates throughout each project
• Keep vehicles, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Provide professional, respectful service in customers’ homes and businesses
• Participate in our rotating on-call schedule

What You Can Earn

Your starting base wage is $17–$19/hour, depending on experience.

But base wage does not tell the whole story.

Based on actual historical employee payroll, Restoration Technicians average approximately $26 in gross earnings for every hour worked when additional earning opportunities are included.

Those opportunities can include:

• Overtime
• On-call pay
• Emergency response pay
• Double-time or triple-time assignments
• Biohazard and specialty-work premiums
• Prevailing-wage projects
• Surge and emergency coverage
• Raises as skills and certifications increase

The $26/hour figure is an historical average, not a guaranteed hourly rate. Actual earnings vary based on hours worked, availability, assignments, certifications, and workload.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

● Lift 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs with assistance

● Walk and stand for long periods

● Drive company vehicles

● Climb ladders

● Work at ceiling heights

● Work in crawl spaces and attics

● Perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling

● Work with chemicals and equipment

● Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive company vehicles under the company’s commercial auto insurance policy are required as a condition of this position.

● Occasionally wear a respirator

Exposure may include fumes, airborne particles, heat, odors, and loud environments.

Schedule

● Full-time: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday

● 40 hours per week

● Frequent overtime, evenings, and weekends

● Primarily local travel

● Participate in rotating on-call schedule
