MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Special Education Teacher (Resource) to join the instructional staff at Steep Falls and George E Jack Schools, for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will regularly meet with students, staff, and parents in regards to pre-referral, referral, assessment, placement, and reintegration of special needs students; coordinate the identification, referral, evaluation, and placement of students into special education programs as required by the IEP process; and provide direct instruction to students according to their IEPs.
Applicants for this position must have degree(s) required in major area of study; Maine Department of Education certification with a #282 endorsement; experience related to the instruction of students of similar age and in the subject area(s) to be assigned; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
Salaries and benefits may be found on the District website in the Agreement between the MSAD 6 Board of Directors and the Saco Valley Teachers Association.
