Margaret Chase Smith Elementary (MCS) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Educational Technician II to join our supportive and collaborative self-contained grades 3 & 4 team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and other ed.techs to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth in an inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include providing small group or one-on-one instruction, assisting with classroom management, and helping implement individualized education plans with behavior data collection. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, flexible, and passionate about helping all students succeed. MCS serves approximately 375 students in grades PreK-4 in the Sanford area. We proudly offer outstanding specialists in art, music, physical education, health and media/library. While we provide Title I literacy and math, English to Speakers of Other Languages and Gifted and Talented Programs, our staff and students are also supported by coaches and interventionists in literacy and math. Our bustling PTA hosts many great community/school wide events to connect our families with staff.
