Job Goal(s): To provide support for scheduling and administrative tasks within the Special Education Department.
Qualifications
Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.
Evaluation: Completed annually by the Director of Special Education or their designee.

Scheduling Secretary
Special Education
Job Goal(s): To provide support for scheduling and administrative tasks within the Special Education Department.
Qualifications
- Effective Communication & Interpersonal Skills are highly valued in this position
- Stong organization skills and ability to switch tasks easily
- Proficient use of technology including basic operating systems, Google Suite & Apple products.
- Knowledge of Special Education law prefered
- Maine DOE Certification - CHRC
- Schedule IEP's with Administrators, Teachers, & Guardians
- Process paperwork associated with IEP's
- Support Special Education Office functions
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- Associates Degrees or equivalent experience in a school setting
- 2 years in a fast-paced office setting
- Experience with special education preferred
- Experience as an Educational Technician or Special Education Teacher may replace secretarial experience
- This is a full time, year round position (260 days)
- Working hours Monday - Friday 8:00am -4:00pm (with paid lunch)
- Paid holidays, vacation & sick time
- Minimal travel required, but may need to visit individual schools on occasion
- Must have reliable transportation
