MSAD 61 is seeking a well-organized individual to perform tasks in Payroll, Purchasing, and other Business Office functions.

- Associate degree or comparable level of related school business office experience preferred but not required
- Fingerprinting and background check (CHRC authorization) through the State of Maine Department of Education is a state requirement
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in the day-to day operations of the Business Office including providing administrative and organizational support to the Finance Coordinator. The job includes:
- Preparation and reconciliation of the district's bi-weekly payrolls
- Purchasing/Bidding, ongoing maintenance of employee files
- Employee wil be cross trained in other business office duties
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills required
- Must be able to design and maintain Excel spreadsheets/Google sheets and manage documents using MS Office and Google Docs
- Individual must have the abilitiy to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, and maintain a positive and professional attitude, and be a team player
- Greet and direct incoming visitors and promptly notify appropriate staff upon their arrival
- Sort and distribute incoming mail to assigned staff
- Records cash receipts
- Assists in the budget process
