What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll/Purchasing Specialist position at Lake Region School District (MSAD 61)?
Seeking a well-organized individual to perform tasks in the Payroll, Purchasing, and other Business Office functions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of the Business Office including providing administrative and organizational support to the Finance Coordinator.
The job includes:
Preparation and reconciliation of the district’s bi-weekly payrolls
Purchasing/Bidding, ongoing maintenance of employee files
Employee will be cross trained in other business office duties
Excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills required
Must be able to design and maintain Excel spreadsheets/Google sheets and manage documents using MS Office and Google Docs
Individual must have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, attention to detail, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and be a team player
Greet and direct incoming visitors and promptly notify appropriate staff upon their arrival
Sort and distribute incoming mail to assigned staff
Records cash receipts
Assists in the budget process
Assists other departments as needed
