Literacy Specialist and Instructional Coach

Manson Park and Vickery Schools (MSAD #53) seek a dynamic educator to serve as the Literacy Specialist and Instructional Coach for grades PK-4. This position is for a passionate educator who wants to make a direct impact on student learning by providing literacy interventions, collaborating with classroom teachers, and offering professional development and support to staff and families.

Responsibilities Include

• Oversee the Manson Park Title I program and support Title I staff at Manson Park School
• Support literacy instruction across grades PK-4
• Coordinate benchmark assessment systems and utilize data-informed instructional decision making and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with the elementary Title I interventionist
• Identify and implement research-based literacy interventions
• Offer professional development to staff
• Support staff through a coaching model using in-class consultation, feedback, and modeling for literacy instruction
• Engage in planning and collaboration with grade-level teams
• Communicate student progress and strategies with families
  
  

A valid Maine DOE Literacy Specialist (092) is preferred. This position is a teaching position. Salary would be based on years of experience and the MSAD #53 Collective Bargaining Agreement salary scale.
