Manson Park and Vickery Schools (MSAD #53) seek a dynamic educator to serve as the Literacy Specialist and Instructional Coach for grades PreK-4. This position is for a passionate educator who wants to make a direct impact on student learning by providing literacy interventions, collaborating with classroom teachers, and offering professional development and support to staff and families.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the Manson Park Title I program and support Title I staff at Manson Park School
- Support literacy instruction across grades PreK-4
- Coordinate benchmark assessment systems and utilize data-informed instructional decision making and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with the elementary Title I interventionist
- Identify and implement research-based literacy interventions
- Offer professional development to staffSupport staff through a coaching model using in-class consultation, feedback, and modeling for literacy instruction
- Engage in planning and collaboration with grade-level teams
- Communicate student progress and strategies with families
A valid DOE Literacy Specialist (092) is preferred.
This position is a teaching position. Salary would be based on years of experience and the MSAD 53 collective bargaining agreement salary scale.
Fingerprinting is required through the Maine Department of Education.
