Position Overview
ServicePoint is seeking highly motivated Assistant Superintendents to support construction, installation, and commissioning activities across data center, low voltage, and electrical infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for candidates looking to advance into senior superintendent or project management roles within the mission-critical and technology infrastructure sector.
The Assistant Superintendent will assist senior leadership in coordinating field operations, overseeing subcontractors, ensuring installation quality, enforcing safety standards, and driving project schedules. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed with precision, compliance, and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily on-site supervision of low-voltage, electrical, and data center infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate activities of technicians, subcontractors, and trades to maintain schedule and workflow.
- Assist with site readiness, pre-task planning, and tracking day-to-day operational progress.
- Verify work is performed per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Help maintain project schedules and update leadership on progress, delays, and risks.
- Document work activities, material usage, and installation completion.
- Participate in site meetings, walkthroughs, and progress reporting.
- Assist with redlines, as-built documentation, and field markups.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure installations meet engineering specifications.
- Ensure adherence to low voltage, electrical, and data center standards and best practices.
- Support enforcement of OSHA and company safety programs.
- Structured cabling (copper & fiber), pathways, racks, cabinets, and IDF/MDF builds.
- Electrical equipment support: feeders, panel boards, grounding, conduit installation in partnership with electrical subcontractors.
- Data center technology infrastructure: server room buildouts, hot/cold aisle containment, UPS/PDU support, cable tray systems, equipment mounting.
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in low voltage, electrical, data center, or general construction environments.
- Basic understanding of:
- Structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A, fiber)
- Electrical systems and common components
- Construction processes, sequencing, and site safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and installation specifications.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-demand environments with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting or supervising crews in the field.
- Familiarity with data center construction or critical facilities environments.
- Knowledge of RCDD standards, NEC, BICSI, or similar guidelines.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Experience with documentation tools (Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, MS Office).
