What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Technician- Laborer position at ServiceMaster Restore?
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to learn new applications and enter data on a smart phone
- Show up to work on time in full uniform and a clean van
- Ability to work OT and on call 24/7 job rotation schedule (usually once a month Monday-Sunday)
- Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive a company van
Duties:
- Process initial inspections on jobs.
- Set up drying equipment as needed, demo materials (flooring, drywall, cabinetry etc.) that cannot be dried in place.
- Document photos, moisture readings, equipment usage and any demo done on a company provided smart phone in company specific applications.
We will train you on everything you need to know about disaster restoration, specifically on water losses and ServiceMaster procedures. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in construction and enjoys working with their hands and doesn’t mind getting a little dirty.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, work in confined spaces, stoop and bend regularly
Working Conditions:
- work in environments with no electricity, heat or A/C
- work on Bio jobs
- will work in all weather conditions, heat, rain, and snow, ice etc.
