Rate of pay. Worker Certified, $30.00/hr and Supervisor Certified, $35.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Abatement workers remove asbestos and lead containing building materials from homes or businesses, particularly after customers have experienced a water or fire damage
• The work involves cleaning and demolition activities while wearing personal protective equipment in a contained work environment
• Flexible scheduling. Work typically starts at 7:30. End times vary, night, weekend and overtime are required as needed.
• Constructing containment areas prior to beginning abatement or decontamination work
• Removing hazardous building materials from surfaces, structures, or equipment using hand or power tools
• Cleaning work areas, tools and equipment
• Loading or unloading materials or waste into containers or onto trucks
• Driving and navigating company vehicles
• Performing Air sampling onsite, then delivering to Laboratory
• Execute asbestos abatement in a timely manner following proper protocol and scope of work.

Qualifications

• Must have a AHERA Asbestos Worker or Supervisor Certification or be certified within 14 days of appointment (set up and paid for by the company)
• 18 or older
• Valid WA State Driver’s License with a good driving record
• Ability to pass criminal background check & drug screen
