Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Orlando, FL Area
Service Specialists is recruiting on behalf of a growing manufacturing company seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment while also supporting day-to-day production operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable balancing maintenance responsibilities with production coordination and administrative tasks.
Compensation: $28–$34/hour (approximately $60,000–$70,000 annually)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Install, align, and maintain production machinery and equipment as needed.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Print production orders, coordinate schedules, and communicate priorities with the production team.
- Schedule outbound deliveries with freight carriers and coordinate shipping logistics.
- Purchase shop materials, monitor inventory levels, and maintain supply needs.
- Complete maintenance records and work orders while ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Comfortable using computers for production scheduling, purchasing, and maintenance documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
