Our client is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious CDL Driver to join their team in Neosho, Missouri. This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks and tractor-trailers to transport materials and products to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual labor as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, mileage records, and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and applicable traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and management regarding schedules, route changes, delays, and delivery updates.
- Secure and verify loads prior to transport to ensure safe delivery.
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude when interacting with clients and delivery locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with a strong safety history.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- 3 months of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience operating tractor-trailers and handling freight deliveries.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and environments.
