About the Opportunity

Service Specialists recruiting agency is partnering with a large, national organization that is seeking a Regional HR Generalist to support approximately 10 locations throughout Central and Southern Florida. This role will serve as the primary HR contact for the region, partnering with operations leadership and corporate HR to support employees, advise managers, and oversee day-to-day HR functions.

This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across multiple locations, building relationships with employees and leadership, and helping ensure consistent HR practices throughout an organization.

Key Responsibilities

• HR Administration & Payroll: Oversee employee records, HR transactions, timekeeping, payroll coordination, and required documentation. Ensure employee changes are processed accurately and deadlines are met.
• Employee Relations: Support managers with employee concerns, attendance issues, performance management, corrective action, and workplace investigations. Promote fair and consistent application of company policies.
• Benefits & Leave Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, FMLA and other leave requests, workers’ compensation documentation, and return-to-work coordination.
• Compliance & Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate employee records, support employment eligibility verification, assist with HR audits, and help ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
• Recruiting & Onboarding: Coordinate local hiring activities, interviews, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding to ensure a smooth experience for new employees.
• Performance & Employee Engagement: Coordinate performance review processes, support training and employee engagement initiatives, and help communicate HR programs and policies across locations.
• Team Oversight: Supervise an HR Clerk responsible for HR data entry, employee documentation, onboarding support, and other administrative functions.
• Multi-Site Support: Partner with location managers and administrative staff to address local HR needs, resolve issues, and maintain consistent processes across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• 3–5 years of professional HR Generalist experience, preferably supporting multiple locations or a geographically dispersed workforce.
• Experience handling employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, and manager coaching.
• Working knowledge of benefits administration, FMLA, workers’ compensation, payroll coordination, and HR compliance.
• Familiarity with federal and state employment regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Work Environment

This position is based at a regional administrative office in Dade City, Florida, with travel to locations throughout the region as needed. Travel is expected to be up to 25%.
