Position Summary
A well-established financial institution is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned branch locations. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and all applicable federal and state regulations while leading branch staff and delivering exceptional member service. The Branch Manager supervises Member Specialist and Personal Service teams, supports lending and account functions, and serves as a hands-on leader capable of performing all branch operational duties as needed.
This position may require travel between branch locations in Pearl, Flowood, and Ridgeland.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary Range: $66,000 – $77,000 annually
- Employment Type: Full-time, exempt
- Travel: Occasional travel required between three branch locations (Pearl, Flowood, Ridgeland)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of assigned branch locations and supervise branch personnel
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations
- Represent the institution to members in a professional and courteous manner while resolving account issues
- Direct and coordinate consumer and real estate lending activities
- Interview members, evaluate loan applications, and authorize loans in accordance with guidelines
- Support collection efforts in partnership with the Member Solutions team
- Oversee account openings, investments, and additional financial services
- Ensure branch facilities and maintenance needs are addressed and escalated appropriately
- Lead employee training, coaching, and development initiatives
- Review schedules and assign duties to ensure efficient branch operations
- Audit accounts and loans for policy and procedural compliance
- Conduct staff meetings and communicate operational updates
- Maintain regular communication with senior leadership regarding branch performance
- Evaluate employee performance and address performance issues as needed
- Perform branch-level duties as necessary to support operations
- Build and maintain strong community, business, and member relationships
- Register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) as required under the SAFE Act
- Prepare and maintain accurate time and attendance records
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of consumer and real estate lending practices
- Experience with credit policies, collections, and member service operations
- Excellent judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer, written, and verbal communication abilities
Required Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Additional training in finance, lending, customer service, or collections preferred
- 5–10 years of experience within a credit union or financial institution
- Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role
