Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead both office operations and core accounting functions across a fast-paced, growing organization. This cross-functional position manages accounting and purchasing staff, oversees daily business operations, and ensures accuracy and compliance in financial reporting for ownership and regulatory requirements. While the role is based in the Ridgeland office, it will require regular travel to the Vicksburg location several times per week for specific operational and accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day office operations while managing accounting workflows and personnel
- Maintain general ledger and accounting systems (QuickBooks, Distru, and internal spreadsheets); assist the CFO with month-end close
- Support revenue operations including sales orders, invoicing, collections, and customer/vendor coordination
- Reconcile cash, deposits, inventory, payroll, and monthly sales reports (including METRC compliance)
- Prepare cost analyses and assist with tax compliance, commissions, and financial reporting
- Assist with investor reporting, operational policies, and cross-department collaboration
- Promote a positive team culture and ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; 5–7 years of management experience required
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong background in accounting, financial operations, and office management
- Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
