About The IDD Supports Coordination Director Role
As the IDD Supports Coordination Director within our Supports Coordination Organization (SCO), you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the IDD Supports Coordination service line. You will be a key member of SAM’s leadership team, ensuring programs meet and exceed accreditation, licensing, contractual, and internal standards. You will develop strategies to promote high-quality, person-centered services, support an engaged SC team, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners. This role is ideal for a servant leader who balances heart and structure and thrives in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
Starting Salary: Based on experience and qualifications (management, non-union role).

Location and Schedule
This position is based within SAM’s IDD Supports Coordination service area in Pennsylvania. Work may include a combination of office-based, remote, and community-based responsibilities, with travel throughout the SAM footprint as needed.
Office hours are generally Monday through Friday, daytime business hours.
Some evening or weekend work may be required to meet program or leadership needs.
Travel, including in adverse weather conditions and occasional overnight travel, may be required.

IDD Supports Coordination Director – Core Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to efficiently operate the IDD Supports Coordination service line and achieve target levels of service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that align the service line with SAM’s strategic goals and Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) expectations.
- Oversee the Supports Coordination service line budget (approximately $30,000) and manage resources to support sustainable, high-quality operations.
- Ensure all Supports Coordination programs maintain required licenses, accreditations, and compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal company standards.
- Build and sustain an engaged Supports Coordination team through mentorship, collaboration, and professional development.
- Represent SAM in statewide ODP and stakeholder meetings while promoting client satisfaction and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external partners.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, social welfare, human services, leadership, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, social welfare, leadership, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the human services/intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) field.
- At least four (4) years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with Supports Coordination, ODP regulations, and/or SCO operations strongly preferred.
