Position Description:
Develops, maintains and optimizes the software development environment. Responsible for infrastructure, build, integration and software deployment process. Creates email accounts and provides system access. Should know scripting languages such as Ruby and Python.
Seeking a detail oriented and proactive DevOps / Release Manager to oversee the deployment lifecycle and CI/CD processes of our web application. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing application releases across various environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security. This role bridges development and operations to ensure streamlined delivery of high-quality software.
- Plan and manage release cycles for web applications, ensuring timely delivery of features and fixes
- Collaborate with developers, QA, product managers, and operations teams to coordinate deployments
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
- Monitor build, deployment, and performance metrics; troubleshoot failures and performance bottlenecks
- Maintain deployment environments (Development, QA, Staging, Production) and ensure configuration consistency
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, access control and audit logging
- Conduct post release reviews and manage rollback plans if necessary
- Maintain release documentation, deployment checklists, and system runbooks.
Education: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty
General Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: The proposed candidate must have at least five (5) years of experience working with:
- Hands on experience with containerization (Docket, Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud platforms ((AWS)
- Strong understanding of Git workflows and branching strategies
- Familiarity with web application security (HTTPS, secrets management)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Understanding of Microservices architecture
