Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Site Safety Manager to lead all safety operations on a large-scale data center construction project in Miami, TX. This is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive safety programs in a fast-paced, high-risk construction environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in construction safety management, strong leadership presence in the field, and holds a current BCSP certification (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST). This individual will serve as the primary authority on-site for all safety-related matters and will work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure a zero-incident culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site safety operations for a large-scale data center construction project
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific safety plans, policies, and procedures
- Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and client safety requirements
- Conduct daily site audits, hazard analyses, and risk assessments; proactively address unsafe conditions
- Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Facilitate safety orientations, training programs, and toolbox talks for all site personnel
- Serve as the primary liaison between project management, subcontractors, and client safety teams
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting, and regulatory records
- Mentor and lead safety staff, ensuring consistent enforcement and professional development
- Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement in safety performance
Qualifications
- Required: BCSP Certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalent)
- 8 years of progressive safety management experience in construction, with data center or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead safety on large-scale, multi-contractor job sites
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience managing safety teams and working with high-profile clients
- Proficiency in safety reporting systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field
- Experience with high-voltage systems, commissioning phases, and critical infrastructure projects
- OSHA 30 or OSHA 500 certification
Work Environment & Requirements
- Must be able to work full-time on-site in Miami, TX
- Ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work extended hours as required by project schedule
Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
