Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to complete a small flooring project. This job involves removing a section of existing carpet and replacing it with wood laminate flooring. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship and can efficiently handle both demolition and installation to deliver a clean, professional finish. This is a hands-on opportunity to transform a space with precision and care.
Duties
- Remove and dispose of a small section of existing carpet and padding
- Prepare the subfloor by cleaning, leveling, and making minor repairs if needed
- Install wood laminate flooring with attention to detail and proper alignment
- Cut and fit materials as needed for a seamless look
- Install transition strips or trim between flooring surfaces if required
- Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the project
Experience
- Experience with flooring installation, specifically laminate or similar materials
- Ability to remove existing flooring and prep surfaces properly
- Skilled in using basic hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work efficiently
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
