What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman position at Sentri Homes?
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Handyman with experience in cabinet assembly and installation to complete a kitchen project using IKEA cabinetry systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling cabinets from flat-pack components and performing a precise, professional installation to ensure a high-quality finished product. This role requires strong carpentry skills, accuracy, and the ability to follow layout plans and manufacturer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble IKEA cabinet systems (frames, drawers, doors, and hardware) from packaged components
- Install cabinets using rail systems, ensuring proper leveling, alignment, and secure fastening
- Measure and verify layout to ensure cabinets fit accurately within the designated space
- Make necessary adjustments for walls, floors, and existing structures (out-of-level or out-of-square conditions)
- Install fillers, panels, trim pieces, and finishing details for a complete, polished look
- Coordinate with plumbing and electrical layouts where applicable (sink base, appliance openings, etc.)
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout the project
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and manufacturer installation guidelines
