Operations CoordinatorLos Angeles, CA
Sentinel Transportation is actively looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our team, with day and/or night shift positions available. Salary: $70,000 Annually
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (7am - 5pm)
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing efficiency metrics and route audits to identify underperforming drivers, actively sharing findings with TMs.
- Monitoring sites in Telapoint and collaborating with dispatch to prevent run-outs.
- Mentoring new hires for a smooth onboarding experience.
- Assisting with paperwork requests, billing inquiries, schedule changes, and equipment assignments for streamlined operations.
- Providing technical support for drivers on various platforms such as ELD, TMW, Vector, etc.
- Committing to a minimum of 1 ride-along per month to gain insights into the driver's role and build strong relationships.
- Collaborating with TMs to balance schedules and address capacity needs effectively.
- Actively participating in monthly safety meetings to contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Conducting driver route audits and providing coaching for efficiency improvements.
- Assisting TMs with compliance items, CBTs, and effective management of rack carding.
- Working closely with TMs and drivers to maintain fleet compliance standards.
- Ensuring timely completion of CBTs and coordinating equipment scheduled for service with the shop.
- Maintaining open communication with dispatch on driver load issues, breakdowns, rack delays, or other concerns.
- Regularly performing driver observations to enhance overall performance.
- Undertaking other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the team.
