Education
- Bachelors Degree (Required)
- Masters Degree (Preferred)
- Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapist License (Required)
- For PACE and Resource Pool, incumbents must have at least one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
Valid NBCOT Certified Occupational Therapist - Certifications - National Board Certification In Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and license required in state of practice.
Experience
- Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
- Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
- Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
- Productive and efficient in daily operations. Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
- Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
