Manager of Volunteer Recruitment and Training
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit, train, and retain volunteers in the Senior Medicare Patrol Program throughout Connecticut
- Provide leadership and guidance to volunteers
- Collaborate with statewide partners to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
- Conduct orientations and training sessions for new volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer information and activities
- Evaluate volunteer performance and provide feedback
- Plan and organize volunteer appreciation events
- Manage social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred
- Previous experience managing volunteers or working in a leadership role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficient in social media management platforms
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals
- Knowledge of volunteer recruitment and retention strategies
