Recruits, interviews, orients, trains, assigns, and evaluates volunteers.
Supervises, instructs, and provides guidance to volunteers in the performance of their duties.
Develops and implements programs/in-services for volunteer participation.
Reviews/audits, compiles, and maintains volunteer records which include training and service data for compliance with regulations.
Schedule meetings with volunteers to provide support and ensure effectiveness of service; identifies needs and gaps in service; acts as volunteer liaison member of interdisciplinary team.
Collaborates with community partners in recruitment, training, and assignment of volunteers into those settings.
Facilitate communications with Agency staff, volunteers, and families.
Educates community about the Hospice and Volunteer Programs; represents the Volunteer Program at internal and external meetings.
Responsible for planning meaningful annual appreciation event(s).
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent-required
Bachelor’s Degree-preferred
Hospice and Volunteer experience highly preferred
