Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Registered Dietitian, based in Norwich, CT and including regional coverage of 56 towns, including home visits. The Registered Dietitian will perform nutritional assessments, provide individual and group counseling sessions and assist clients in managing their dietary goals. The role involves conducting educational workshops on nutrition and wellness to promote healthy living in the aging population and individuals with disabilities, while maintaining comprehensive and accurate client records.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Dietetics and Nutrition
- Experience in Nutritional Counseling and Weight Management
- Knowledge of and ability to implement Medical Nutrition Therapy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse populations, bilingual a plus
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and licensure required
- Ability to work with older adults and individuals with disabilities in a compassionate and professional manner
- Experience in community outreach or delivering educational programs
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
