Packaging Pharmacy Technician
Senior Life Pharmacy – Full-Time (40 hrs/week)
Location: Elkview, WV
Senior Life Pharmacy, a fast-growing closed-door, mail-order pharmacy specializing in compliance packaging and concierge medication management, is seeking a Packaging Pharmacy Technician to join our operations team. We support thousands of patients nationwide by simplifying their medication routines through Parata PASS packaging, free home delivery, and exceptional customer care.
Position Overview
The Packaging Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, safe, and timely preparation of patient medication packs. This position focuses on operating packaging equipment, preparing medication trays, verifying accuracy, managing inventory, and supporting the fulfillment process from start to ship.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Parata PASS packaging machines and other automated dispensing equipment.
- Prepare and load medication cassettes/trays with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform quality checks on all packaged medication pouches (dates, times, drug name, NDC, dosage).
- Resolve packaging errors, jams, or machine alerts quickly and safely.
- Assist with prescription fulfillment, counting, labeling, and staging orders for shipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas according to pharmacy standards.
- Support inventory management: restocking, cycle counts, checking for out-dates.
- Work closely with pharmacists and techs to ensure on-time monthly sync refill cycles.
- Follow all SOPs and state/federal regulations for handling, packaging, and storage.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification (License in good standing).
- Prior pharmacy experience preferred—mail order, LTC, or high-volume operations a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using automated packaging equipment (Parata experience preferred but not required).
- Excellent communication, reliability, and teamwork skills.
