Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct personal care and support to residents while promoting dignity, independence, comfort, and well-being. The CNA works collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Help residents with eating and hydration as required.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and mental condition.
- Measure and record vital signs as directed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and resident records.
- Assist with transferring and repositioning residents safely.
- Support recreational and social activities that promote resident engagement.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience in long-term care, senior living, or healthcare settings is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to lift, move, and assist residents safely.
