We are looking for an Residential Contract Specialist that is detail-oriented to work closely with the team in tracking supplies/equipment, managing grants, etc. The schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. In the case of hurricanes or other events there may be a modified schedule that would include weekends and evenings.
Note the Housing Office is located on the Hollywood Reservation 5700 Griffin Road, Davie , FL 33314. As-needed, you'll drive out for the day to other Reservations such as Clewiston, Immokalee, and Okeechobee. We try to carpool when possible and utilize the department vehicles.
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the procurement of supplies, equipment, labor and services for the Seminole Tribe of Florida Housing Department. The individual will perform administrative duties related to the acquisition of supplies, equipment, labor and services as well as those related to soliciting and maintaining grants from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other grant organizations. The incumbent builds and maintains working relationships with associates, members of the Tribal community, vendors and contractors.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, supplemented by three (3) years of experience in preparing, negotiating and administering contracts for the acquisition of commercial goods, professional services and other contractual services is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience in a governmental or similar environment will be considered. Incumbent must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages, including Excel, word, PowerPoint.

- Staff schedule is fully in-office Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with flexibility to sometimes stay later if there is a tight deadline. During emergencies such as natural disasters, the entire department is considered essential so there may some evenings and weekends if we're impacted. This position is based at the Hollywood Reservation located at 5700 Griffin Road Davie, FL 33134 however since it's considered Tribal-Wide, a few times a year you'll drive out to other Reservations in Florida including Clewiston, Okeechobee, and Immokalee but it would just be a day trip with additional drive time factored within your day and you can use one of our tribal vehicles to get there.
