Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students with special needs in an RSP classroom or general education classroom environment at an assigned school site; assist in the preparation of instructional materials, lesson plans and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Behavior Support Plans; assist students with performing and developing academic, reading, social and behavioral help skills; perform routine clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel.

One position - Wilson Elementary School, 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The following documents are required, please attach to the Edjoin application: -Resume or Summary of Experience -Three (3) Letters of Recommendation -ESSA Compliance Verification District paid medical, dental, and vision prescription plans are provided for employee and dependents. .
Qualifications: • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one-year experience working with children in an educational or learning environment. • Incumbents must meet requirements specified under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Special Qualifications upon hire for positions at a school site that is supported by Title I funds include: o Completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education OR o Obtained an associate’s or higher degree (college level) OR o Met (pass) a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing and mathematics. • Incumbents are eligible to advance from Range 15 to Range 16 by passing an SUSD Competency Examination with a passing rate of 70% or higher. **Must provide verification of ESSA compliance to be considered for an interview
