This position is part of the Reynolds High SUN Community School model and is coordinated through a partnership between Reynolds School District and Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI). Program Context & Oversight

- SEI coordinates the program as part of its role in managing the SUN Community School at Reynolds High School.
- This position is employed and supervised by SEI, with direct reporting to the SUN Community School Site Manager.
- All duties must align with SEI’s safety protocols, program standards, and organizational policies.
- The Coordinator will work closely with Reynolds High School staff, students, and families to ensure program goals are met in alignment with both SEI and district expectations.
Program Leadership & Student Support
- Identify academic and social-emotional needs of students and coordinate strategic peer support.
- Develop and implement structured mentoring plans that facilitate academic achievement, which aligns with the schoolwide academic goals for on time graduation.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of participation and outcomes.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for mentoring and leadership activities.
- Facilitate student council meetings, elections, and leadership development.
- Support student-led initiatives and ensure alignment with school values.
- Serve as a liaison between student council and school administration.
- Coordinate peer and adult tutor schedules to meet student academic needs.
- Track tutor availability, assignments, and session outcomes.
- Communicate with tutors and teachers to ensure effective support.
- Manage inventory and order supplies for program activities and instruction.
- Ensure timely delivery and distribution of materials.
- Develop strategies to recruit student mentors and participants.
- Promote the program through school events, professional development opportunities, and family outreach.
- Track recruitment efforts and adjust strategies based on participation data.
- Plan and organize enrichment activities and field trips aligned with program goals.
- Manage logistics including transportation, permissions, supervision, and budgeting.
- Ensure all events are inclusive, safe, and educational.
- Develop handbooks, training guides, and evaluation tools.
- Maintain organized records of program materials and updates.
- Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all program sessions and events.
- Monitor student participation and follow up on absences or disengagement.
- Prepare regular reports on program performance, student progress, and engagement metrics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with youth from diverse social, educational, and economic backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to lead student programs or peer mentoring initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
